I’m a white wine drinker usually, but last week I had friends over who love red wine, and we all dove in. Sure enough, within the first hour I had red wine spattered on my dress-shirt from a cork that popped in the wrong way. Not so long ago a friend spilled red wine on my new white linen chair in the living room. Ugh. It looked awful, but with a little smart work, all was okay. Due to this, I’ve gotten pretty good at getting these stains out and have some info here to help you. Enjoy and please add your own remarks. (далее…)
I’ve had my share of mousecapades and caught mice humanely and in grizzly ways (the worst are glue traps, though sometimes they become necessary). All are recorded here. However, I’ve always tried to start with humane mouse traps and had good luck. Here are my top picks gleaned from own experience. In addition, I’ve retained all the information from my old post, which had some really nice recommendations we felt were worth keeping on this eternal subject.
Over the past few years, I have discovered the practicality and the joy of having a really nice bathrobe. It’s a quick, warm cover for the early mornings when I make tea and sit for an hour, and it’s indispensable after showering when one doesn’t need/want/can’t/care to get dressed right away. (далее…)
If your wedges, sneakers, running shoes and moon boots are currently piled up on the bottom of your closet (or, even worse, strewn about your entryway), then you need shoe storage, and you need it now. These shoe racks and organizers will not only make it easier to get dressed in the morning, but they’ll prevent your favorite pairs from getting squished in the pile-up. Consider this your first step towards a clutter-free closet and foyer. (далее…)
I recently made the switch to an adjustable standing desk in my office, and it has made a world of difference. That said, I soon realized that my regular desk chair just wasn’t going to cut it anymore. With a more active desk I needed a more active seating option — and it turns out that the medical community agrees. Active seating — specifically ergonomic stools — helps to strengthen core and back muscles, while allowing the spine to achieve its natural curve. The result is a healthier body and a mind that stays alert and awake at work. Today I’m testing out three ergonomic stools from all ends of the price spectrum: they are sure to keep you healthy without being an eyesore in your office. (далее…)
Lunch monotony is real and we know it all too well. You were excited to have prepped a lunch the night before, but those leftovers look kind of sad and boring now that noon is rolling around and your stomach is grumbling. Today I’ve got two bento boxes that are total lunch gamechangers: Prepd Pack and Monbento. They’re super functional (compact, wash easily, no leaks) and super cute. Check out my review and the unboxing video below — this just might be the end to lunch boredom, once and for all. (далее…)
